After quite a delay, that Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics monster trade was finalized thanks to a second round pick sweetener by the C’s. Isaiah Thomas‘ hip caused the Cavs to have second thoughts and they milked the Celtics for all they could. It almost didn’t go down.
Now that everything is official, Kyrie Irving has decided to talk to fans through a message online. In the video, Irving talks about what an honor it was to get drafted by Cleveland, what he cherished in his time there and why he appreciates everyone who has supported him in his tenure there.
“There are no other ulterior reasons other than being happy and wanting to be somewhere where you feel like it’s an environment that’s conducive for you maximizing your potential as a human being.”
We’ll be waiting for that LeBron James response after that quote.
