Larry Bird Is Stepping Down As Pacers President

The Larry Bird era in Indiana as Pacers President has officially come to an end, as the former Boston Celtics Hall Of Famer has stepped down from his position with the organization.

GM Kevin Pritchard will now take over the team in his absence.

Up to this point, the reasoning for his departure is not known but he always suggested to owner Herb Simon that Pritchard take over his spot once he left. Simon kept Larry Legend on one-year contracts for the past few seasons in case he eventually stepped down.

The Pacers will have a press conference on Monday to speak on the news officially.
