RELATED: Los Angeles Lakers Clear Cap Space for Max Level Player
Considering the two wear the same number and now play on the same team, LeBron James has given up his number on the Los Angeles Lakers for his new teammate Anthony Davis.
LBJ has worn No. 23 since he came into the league, but during his stint with the Miami HEAT, he wore No. 6. He will be reverting to that number on the Lake Show next season. He announced the news on Twitter:

The news comes after the Lakers did the impossible yesterday and cleared enough cap space to sign a max level free agent after trading their young guys.
According to Stephen A. Smith, the L.A. has a good chance at landing Kawhi Leonard now. But that’s nothing new. We told you this a week ago.
I’m told that Anthony Davis has reached out to free agent Kawhi Leonard. Additionally, Rob Pelinka asked Kobe Bryant to reach out to Leonard, per a source close to the situation.
