After the Philadelphia 76ers promised Ben Simmons that he would be the first pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers get the easy end of the bargain and have pin pointed the man they want as well.
Barring an absolute draft shocker, Brandon Ingram will be the Lakers second pick, after sources confirmed to ESPN that he would be their choice. The Duke freshman has been regarded as the No. 1 pick by some, but with the Sixers enamored with Simmons, newly introduced coach Luke Walton and company will bring his talents to Hollywood come tomorrow.
With his shooting and length, Ingram is set to fill a void on the team and round out a good group of young talent to help carry the team for the future.
The NBA Draft goes down tomorrow on ESPN at 7pm EST.
