Lou Williams Signs 3-Year Extension with Los Angeles Clippers

After Blake Griffin got traded to the Detroit Pistons, all signs pointed towards the Los Angeles Clippers blowing up the team and the likes of DeAndre Jordan and Lou Williams to be out of town. It seems like now that plan has changed, at least for Williams, who has signed a new contract extension with the team.

Lou is getting a 3-year extension to stay with the Clippers, worth a reported $24 million.

Considering that Williams has been the only spark for L.A. this season, it makes sense why they would keep him as they try to rebuild for the future. He has been averaging a career best 23.3 points and 5.3 assists per game, almost making his way to the NBA All-Star Game with his play this season.

The Clippers are currently ninth in the Western Conference and only a half game away from the New Orleans Pelicans for the final playoff spot. If they can sneak in, that would be a huge win for Doc Rivers and company this season.
