Milwaukee Bucks Acquire Jason Kidd as New Head Coach

Brooklyn Nets
Brooklyn Nets make trade to send Jason Kidd to Milwaukee Bucks.

Prior to the $2 billion dollar sale of the Los Angeles Clippers last month, the Milwaukee Bucks were sold for $550 million in April, becoming previous highest selling NBA team all time.

Billionaires Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry agreed to keep the team in the beer capital of the world, and were making plans of drafting the most NBA-ready player right now during last week’s draft in Jabari Parker. Kidd had a successful pilot season as a head coach leading the Brooklyn Nets to the second season of the NBA Playoffs, without their best player Brook Lopez.

As compensation, the Nets will receive two second-round future picks and Kidd will join Milwaukee as immediate head coach. The rumored basketball operations title has not be confirmed, but Jason will be seeing more than double his worth from the previous 4-year/$10 million he was set to earn in Brooklyn. The Nets are now targeting former Memphis Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins and CSKA Moscow coach Ettore Messina to serve as new coach.
