NFL Announces Los Angeles, South Florida & Atlanta as Super Bowl Winners

The Super Bowl moves to new destinations!

It was only a matter of time, but Los Angeles has finally won rights to host a future Super Bowl. Today, the NFL officially announced that the city of angels will be the site for Super Bowl LV in 2017 at the city’s upcoming Inglewood stadium on the west side. Atlanta also won their bid for the big game, as their new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which opens next summer, will host the 2019 games.

With Atlanta beating out New Orleans, South Florida managed to edge Tampa bay for Super Bowl 2020, which takes place in New Miami Stadium. During meetings earlier, the NFL also addressed its proposal on the replay system many owners, players and fans have been complaining about.

Upcoming Super Bowl Hosts:

• SUPER BOWL LI 2017 NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas
• SUPER BOWL LII 2018 U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota
• SUPER BOWL LII 2019 Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
• SUPER BOWL LIV 2020 New Miami Stadium, Miami, Florida
• SUPER BOWL LV 2021 Rams’ new stadium, Inglewood, California

Reviewable plays for replay will now include:

• Plays involving possession
• Plays involving touching of either the ball or the ground
• Plays governed by the goal line
• Plays governed by the boundary lines
• Plays governed by the line of scrimmage
• Plays governed by the line to gain
• Number of players on the field at the snap
• Game administration: penalty enforcement, proper down, spot of a foul, status of game clock
