NFL Suspends Martavis Bryant For One Year

The off-the-field problems for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant have struck again, now that the NFL have suspended him for at least a year for violating the leagues substance abuse policy. Last season, he missed the first four games for the Steelers for the same issue.

Bryant and his representatives will appeal the decision and will wait to hear from the league.

Pittsburgh GM Kevin Colbert was quoted as saying he is dealing with personal issues of depressions and hinted at him failing the NFL drug test to cope with it.

The Steelers might be losing a big part of their deep-threat offense next season, but they still have Antonio Brown, Markus Wheaton, Darrius Heyward-Bey and newly signed Ladarius Green to help Ben Roethlisberger in the pass attack. Not to mention the fact they can draft a wide receiver or two in the upcoming NFL Draft to help alleviate some of the pressure of losing Bryant.

In 11 games last season, Bryant managed to produce some great numbers, bringing down 50 receptions for 765 yards and six touchdowns.
