Nick Nurse Explains His Feelings on Kawhi Leonard Signing with Clippers

The biggest news out of the NBA this weekend was Kawhi Leonard shocking the world and signing with the Los Angeles Clippers and recruiting Paul George to run with him. Not only did it change the Clips franchise in the foreseeable future but it also had repercussions for the Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers.

We The North coach Nick Nurse was asked about the news and he had nothing but good words for The Klaw as he packs his bag for L.A. He said he wasn’t surprised but he’s ready to get back to work and looking forward to the challenge next season.

Nurse said, “you can’t blame a guy for wanting to go home.”

Considering Leonard brought a championship to Toronto for the first time ever, it’s only right that the city and the organization harbor no ill feelings towards Kawhi. If anything, he taught the team and brought them the championship pedigree they needed to survive in the Eastern Conference and with the squad coming back together pretty much in full (besides Danny Green and Leonard), they’ll still be competitive out east.
