Odell Beckham Jr. Sustains Bad Ankle Injury, Will Need Surgery

The New York Giants have been the punching bag of the tri-state this season, going winless in the first four games of the season. And the losses just keep coming.

Today against the Los Angeles Chargers, the G-men suffered another injury to their wide receiver corps and it happened to their star on the outside. On a routine slant route, Eli Manning overthrew Odell Beckham Jr. and he was taken down in ugly fashion. OBJ missed the catch and came down and rolled his left ankle under the defender, completely twisting it in opposite direction.

He immediately clutched for it on the ground and had to be carted out of the game.

Considering Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shephard went down with injuries earlier in the day, things keep looking worse for the Giants season.

UPDATE: The diagnosis isn’t good for Beckham Jr. Pending MRI, it seems like he suffered a fractured ankle on the play. It is unclear as of now how much time he will miss for the Giants.
