The heir to Tom Brady‘s throne has been shipped out of town. After rejecting trades for Jimmy Garoppolo this past offseason, the New England Patriots have sent the young quarterback to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2018 second round draft pick.

Considering the Niners are 0-8, they will be sending a high draft pick to the Pats next year, which they will probably use on a backup QB in a deep class.
San Francisco has been struggling at the position all year, which has contributed to their winless record this season. Acquiring Garoppolo will hopefully give them some stability. Because from rock bottom, the only way to go is up.
