Paul George Thinks this is Why the Indiana Pacers are Underperforming

Does PG-13 even deserve that 2K17 cover this season?

By far one of the most disappointing stories in sports has been the Indiana Pacers. Prior to the 2017 season, most of us believed Indy would be elite level competition LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, but now it seems like the King could be on his way to a seventh straight NBA Finals.

At the moment, the Pacers find themselves looking on the outside of the post-season and could quickly become a lottery team if things don’t change. With trade rumors circulating around Paul George, leading up to the mid-way point of his current deal (set to expire in two years), he’s officially called out the league’s referees and its higher-ups for not giving them respect on the court.

PG believes his team has been treated as the little brothers of the league, following a blowout loss to the Chicago Bulls last night. In his 39-minutes of play, George only shot a single free-throw, as head coach Nate McMillan also aired out his frustration, saying it’s not even about superstar treatment – the missed calls are just unfair. Well, we’re sure the league will be handing down a hefty fine for the two, but we expect them to also look into these bizarre complaints.

I’ve been fined multiple times. I’ve been vocal to the point where the league issues a statement, ‘Hey, we missed a call. Hey, we missed that.’ Officials do it during games saying, ‘I missed that call, I missed this call. We’re sorry. We’re sorry.’ It’s getting repetitive. They see it, they know what’s going on. They know what’s a foul.

They know what’s not a foul. It comes down from somewhere else how these games are going, I believe. Since I’ve been in this jersey we’ve always fought this battle. Ever since I’ve been playing, ever since I’ve been in this jersey we’ve fought this battle. Maybe the league has teams they like so they can give them the benefit of the doubt. We’re the little brother of the league. We’re definitely the little brother of the league.
