The San Francisco Giants stole Game 1 of the World Series against the Kansas City Royals, but the Royals returned the favor and took Game 4. With the momentum on San Francisco’s side heading into Game 6, the Giants had the confidence that they could win it on the road.

Unfortunately, the Royals had other plans and they spoiled a clincher in the worst way.

Going into the game, Yordano Ventura was 3-0 in starts and his undefeated streak continued. Especially since Kansas City brought the bats out in the 2nd inning to give them a huge lead.

The entire batting order went up, some more than once after hitting the lights out of Jake Peavy and sending him packing after 5 runs were scored. Yusmeiro Petit came in relief, but his luck wasn’t as good either, allowing 3 hits and 2 more runs in the inning.

Jean Machi and Hunter Strickland allowed another 3 runs between the two, leaving the Giants with a full blow out. The dagger came in the the bottom of the 7th inning when Mike Moustakas crushed a solo home run to right-center field to give Kansas City a 10-0 lead

The Royals had 15 total hits on the night, so it’s no wonder they ran up the score.

The 2014 World Series now heads to Game 7 in a do-or-die, winner takes all game that will played tomorrow at 8:07pm EST on FOX. It should be another thriller.
