Russell Westbrook & Evan Turner Get Into Shoving Match During Game

The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently trying to hold on to a Western Conference playoff spot. They have lost some games that should have been wins lately and aren’t doing themselves any favors by losing more close matchups.

With physical play and tensions high during today’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, a few players from both teams got into shoving matches.

It all happened when Ed Davis brought down Terrance Ferguson during a rebound. He reached over the back and pushed him to the ground after a missed shot and obviously, he didn’t take too well to that. Russell Westbrook didn’t either, as he came to his teammates defense. Next thing you know, Evan Turner got involved and pushed Russ and Terrance from the back and multiple players and referees stepped in to break it all up.

All four players involved got technical fouls but nobody was ejected.

Meanwhile, by the time the fourth quarter hit, C.J. McCollum went off and finished off the Thunder in the clutch. He made a long two over Westbrook ended the game with 34 points and 4 assists.

Carmelo Anthony had a chance to win the game after Russ fouled out, but missed a three-pointer as time expired in regulation.

The OKC loss keeps them a half game ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs place in the West standings, with the Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves not far behind at a 1.5 games back in the tight race to the postseason.
