Russell Westbrook Says Oklahoma City Is the Place For Him

It’s safe to say Russell Westbrook had a historic season for the Oklahoma City Thunder. This guy is virtually a shoe-in for MVP this NBA season and he singlehandedly took OKC to the playoffs on his back. Obviously he couldn’t carry them further than the first round, but he willed them to the post-season and set NBA records doing it.

During his exit interviews from the team, he reiterated how much the city and team mean to him and how he strives to get better for them year after year. He wants to make sure everybody is happy and he always looks for a way to make it easier for everyone. So he’s here for the fight.

Everybody know that I like Oklahoma City and I love being here. I love everybody here. I’m worried about making sure my wife is alright… moving forward [in the offseason] with that…but obviously Oklahoma City is the place where I want to be.”

If there was any doubt that he was leaving, he’s silencing the haters with this.
