Here Is the Reported Shortlist for the New York Knicks Coaching Position

The New York Knicks have been nothing short of a failure for the past few seasons, but things have been taken to another level after they fired David Fizdale as coach. As a matter of fact, we heard the words “dumpster fire” as a way to explain the organization right now, which isn’t a compliment.

Though Mike Miller has been named interim coach for the rest of the season, The Atheltic‘s Shams Charania has heard of a few names on the front office’s shortlist in the position of head coach:

01. Jeff Van Gundy
02. Mark Jackson
03. Tom Thibodeau

According to Charania, these are guys they will try to go after during the season, but Miller was informed upon taking his current job that he would be short-term and they could add someone as the year progresses.

Though we like the list of names, we doubt van Gundy or Jackson would leave their comfortable NBA commentator positions for a rebuild in Madison Square Garden unless they got the power to make decisions in the organization as far as who to sign and keep in the years moving forward.

Thibodeau is also not a bad name, but we all know he loves veterans and not young talent.
