Skip Bayless Addresses Departure From ESPN on “First Take”

It probably came to a shock to a lot of people that Skip Bayless was making a move away from ESPN after 12 years with the company. With reports saying that he’s found a home on Fox Sports 1, First Take had to tackle the elephant in the room in today’s episode.

Molly Qerim was the one who brought it up and things got emotional for a second. Skip even went as far as telling Stephen A. Smith he loved him live on air and thanked the haters. Smith went ahead and thanked him for everything Skip did for his career, claimed the two as friends for life and said they’re going to be partying until he leaves. Plus confessed how much he hates getting up early, even for today’s show.

Bayless’ contract with ESPN expires in August, but his last day on the network show will be after the 2016 NBA Finals.
