Trae Young Declares Himself for the NBA Draft

Freshman guard Trae Young, who has been previously compared to second coming of Steph Curry, has decided to bypass another season at the University of Oklahoma and enter the NBA Draft this upcoming June.

He is projected to be a lottery pick, to go between the 5-10 range.

Young’s Sooners squad was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament in the first round, but that shouldn’t affect his stock in the NBA Draft.

He captured the nation this year with his electric play during the first few weeks of the college season, but his play wasn’t consistent towards the back end.

Regardless, he was voted Big 12 freshman of the year and has the record for most points in the conference for any freshman in history. He led the nation in scoring with 27.4 points per game and assists, at 8.7 per game.

Can he do it at the professional level?
