Tyson Chandler Blocks Trae Young at the Buzzer to Give Lakers the Win

It seems like every single goddamn game the Los Angeles Lakers play is going down to the wire. Though they barely hit .500 yesterday with a 6-6 record, some of those losses could have easily been wins and the narrative in the media concerning their season could be completely different.

Tonight against the Atlanta Hawks was no different. Things came down to the buzzer.

With LeBron James at the free throw line in the closing moments of the game, he missed two shots but made up with it after a monster game thanks to a Kyle Kuzma rebound and put-back. The Lake Show took the 107-106 lead at that point.

On the other end, Trae Young had the chance to win it for the Hawks.

As he had the rock, he dribbled past Brandon Ingram and had an open hole to the hoop. That is until he met a rotating Tyson Chandler who blocked the layup at the buzzer.

The whole team went bezerk.

LBJ came up to him and celebrated as the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

Los Angeles improves to a 7-6 record behind James’ 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Kuzma’s 18 points and 8 rebounds.

FINAL: LAL 107 | ATL 106
