Vince Carter Finally Announces His Retirement, Scheduled for Next Season

For the longest time, Vince Carter has been saying he was going to retire after X-amount of years. It’s gone from two, to two more and now he’s saying one more season. Appearing on ESPN’s The Jump, Carter said he has one more run in him, though we’ve heard that before. With it, it would be 22 seasons in the league, the most in NBA history. In his explanation, he says he does it for the love to the game and for those who can’t play anymore who came up from his era. Stephen Jackson was on the show as well and mentioned how much he respects the fact he’s still in the league.

Vince also spoke on the Toronto Raptors being in the NBA Finals and what it means for the city and for Canada for that to be happening right now.
