Warriors Breeze Past Rockets in Game 1 of WCF Thanks to Kevin Durant 37-Point Performance

The pressure was on the Houston Rockets to win tonight’s Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors. They secured the No. 1 seed this season, gained a home court advantage against any opponent and have been predicted to have enough firepower to take down the might Dub Nation.

With so much talk surrounding how good the Rockets are, the Warriors have been steadily dominating everyone throughout the playoffs. To them, this is a statement series to prove that nobody in the league is fucking with them.

They certainly put their stamp tonight against The Beard and CP3.

Thanks to Kevin Durant‘s 37 points and Klay Thompson‘s 28 points, the Warriors rolled past the Rockets. Steph Curry also dropped 18 points in the win on the road.

Things started out chippy for the Dubs, as Draymond Green picked up a technical foul two minutes into the game by shoving James Harden in the neck.

The Rockets are now in a hole they need to get out of and have lost home court advantage for the series. The pressure has amounted even more against CP3 and Harden and Game 2 is a must-win for Houston if they want to avoid an outright sweep.

Game 2 is Wednesday at 9pm EST on TNT.
