Warriors Overcome Thunder 3-1 Deficient to Punch NBA Finals Ticket Against Cavs

The rematch we’ve been waiting for all year!

Five day ago, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook made some unflattering comments regarding the defense of Stephen Curry. That was in the midst of Curry garnering 31 points, 6 assist and 7 rebounds in their potentially last home game of the season. The Thunder soon headed back home for a favorable game 6 on Saturday night, Curry followed up his performance with 31 points again, but added 3 assist and rebounds each to his stat-line. But the talk of the last 48 hours, has been Klay Thompson’s 11-made three pointers in their road victory to even the series.

Curry’s numbers over games 5-7

G5: 31 points, 6 assists, 7 rebounds
G6: 31 points, 9 assists, 10 rebounds
G7: 36 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds

With Dryamond Green finally ready to emerge for his first breakout game of the series, as well as receiving a DDT from Steven Adams, Dub Nation was finally home to close out the Western Conference Finals. Both teams played extremely sloppy in the first half game 7, with OKC actually holding the leading before the second half. Unfortunately, for the Thunder fans, they’re team checked out in the third quarter – only scoring 12 points, with GS totaling 29 for the period.

Golden State opens up the NBA Finals as the favorite:

Warriors | -185
Cavaliers | +165

Although Oklahoma City made a brief rally nearing the end of the game, it was already over in our eyes, as the Warriors bench was providing consistent contributions. To the Thunder’ defense, they played elite level defense on their opposing shooters; but as usual, the miraculous shots continued to fall. This marks the second consecutive trip the Warriors will be heading to the NBA Finals and will finally get a chance to meet a healthy Cleveland Cavaliers team.
