Konami Announces ‘Metal Gear Survive’ Co-Op Spin-Off

Survival done, the metal gear way?

With 2016 Gamescom finally underway in Germany, Konami shocked the world with the announcement of their new title, Metal Gear Survive. The upcoming four-player stealth effort, will be the first ever installment in the franchise since the unfortunate fallout and departure of Hideo Kojima – original series creator. The company didn’t reveal how many members of the original team would contribute to the game, but an official trailer was shared above.

MG: Survive sees the members of Militaires Sans Frontières who didn’t die during the immediate events after Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, ending up in an alternate universe.

Forced to battle force of crystalline zombies, referenced as biological threats, we get a look at the updated FOX Engine, including a rare appearance by Big Boss. It’s still unclear whether the snake clones of B.B. will have any features in the actual game, but Konami has reiterated that this is a new addition to the MGS V experience. Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next year, take a look at the brand new weaponry and elements you’ll enjoy using when it releases in 2017.
