The over-the-top apple TV service has been delayed

The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference next week in San Francisco was one of the biggest events we were looking forward to this year, but some unfortunate news has surfaced regarding its subscription TV service.

The updated Apple TV was set to originally launch this fall with support from ABC, CBS, FOX and other major networks not named Comcast’s NBC at $30-$40 monthly. Unfortunately, due to local affiliates of the previously mentioned networks being owned independently has delayed the Apple launch likely to 2016.

Roughly around 200 affiliates are yet to agree to terms with Apple for an extended nationwide service, which the biggest announcement not named the possible iPhone 6s at WWDC in the Bay Area next week is on indefinite hold. This is a major implement Apple has been raving about, which Sony’s PlayStation VUE and Dish Network’s Sling TV both do not provide. Look for more details to emerge in the coming weeks regarding this story.
