The end is the beginning. . . .

With many faces leaving its brand within the next 16 months, Marvel Films are already planning for their next official Cinematic Universe. Since first beginning in 2008 with Iron Man, the company has spent a decade on building up a theatrical fan-base for various spin-offs from its comic-book series’. However, Joe and Anthony Russo, directors of Avengers: Infinity War, revealed that the 2018 film will mark a culmination of everything that’s happened over the last decade.

It’s expected to close a variety of story-lines that have been running, as well as setting up future films within the new MCU – including setting up for Spider-Man and Black Panther solo films. Infinity War’s untitled sequel in 2019, will likely introduce a new cast of Avengers, as well as set the tone for future films from the Marvel Comics. For those of you skeptical what the team could do after Galactus, there’s still tons of villains floating around the universe.
