Get ready for Furious 8 in two years!

After finding out just how crazy Tom Cruise was to create realism for Mission Impossible 5 earlier this week, CinemaCon was granted some major news. Vin Diesel was in Las Vegas to celebrate the success of the Fast & Furious series, with Furious 7 passing $1 billion in total revenue at the box offices in under three weeks.

Before his press event with Universal Pictures ended, the studio and Vin revealed that the next chapter in the series would be arriving April 14, 2017. Diesel soon went to say, “We’re going to make the best movie you’ve ever seen,” and judging by its box office success globally, this wouldn’t be a long-shot with the unlimited check book Universal is about to splurge for their blockbuster action franchise. Look for more details to emerge in the coming months before Furious 8 hits preliminary productions later this year.
