Ice Cube Receives Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

Gangster rap legend, actor and producer Ice Cube had possibly his best “good day” in a while. Earlier today, Cube received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We’ve seen the rap veteran enjoying the success of his movie fame these, but he was recognized for his achievements as a recording artist at today’s event, that took place outside the Musician’s Institute.

During the special ceremony, Cube was joined by fellow NWA rapper Dr. Dre, John Singleton, director of Boyz In The Hood, Westside Connection member WC and his family, including his dad and mom. WC and Singleton praised Cube for his work in both the music and movie industry, with WC calling Cube a “musical genius” during his speech and John saying that he owes his career to the rapper/actor.

Ice Cube took the podium and thanked his family for supporting him and gave credit to Dr. Dre for his success in music, saying that he “wouldn’t be here” without the Compton producer.

Ice Cube recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut Death Certificate with a special edition release last week. Which includes three new songs.
