LeBron James Reportedly Starring in “Space Jam 2”

Is King James the right choice to resurrect Space Jam?

As LeBron James continues to position himself as the highest paid athlete in the NBA after last week’s $47 million extension, the captain of the Cleveland Cavaliers is finally set to star in the long-awaited reboot of Space Jam. Today, the King and his SpringHill Entertainment Company announced a partnership with Warner Bros. Entertainment for future TV, film and original content down the line. The company filed new trademarks for Space Jam just last month, coincidentally before today’s big announcement. Since February 2014, the sequel to the animated basketball film has been rumored but was quickly shot down by all parties involved.

Last Friday, James had his feature film debut in the much-talked about comedy Trainwreck, hilariously portraying himself opposite of project stars Amy Schumer and Bill Hader. With LeBron breaking the ice of showing his face on the big screen, look for official details in the coming weeks regarding his film with Warner Bros.
