Not until 2019. . .
Over the last year, HBO has been undecided whether or not Game of Thrones will air its final season in 2018 or the year after. With filming underway over the fall, Sophie Turner shared some major information, in a recent interview with Variety Magazine.
According to the actress, she’s not expecting the show to return until 2019, citing that filming is expected to continue up to eight more months throughout next summer. This means the show will need months of editing, which we’re assuming a spring 2019 return will be logical.
Until that happens, the premium network will look for the returns of both Westworld season two and True Detective season 3 in 2018, as viewers wait for details on Game of Thrones.
