Since the age of streaming, Aaliyah‘s music never appeared online. The only album that was available on Apple Music and/or Spotify has been Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number, but One In A Million and Aaliyah were off limits. They still are truthfully. This is in part to her masters belonging to the late singer’s uncle Barry Hankerson.
Now, her 2005 Ultimate album has appeared on Apple Music, featuring her biggest hits, like “Are You That Somebody?,” “Try Again” and “One In A Million.”
Whether or not the album will stick around for the long run remains to be seen, but at the moment, her fans can listen to some certified classics on the platform.
UPDATE: The album has been taken off the service after COO of Reservoir Media lawyers got involved.
