Back in 2015, a Young Thug associate was sentenced to 10 years for the infamous Lil Wayne tour bus shooting. As part of the deal, Jimmy ‘Peewee Roscoe’ Winfrey agreed to an extra 10 years of probation to avoid a lengthier bid in the plea. Over the summer, Winfrey had his conviction overturned from The Georgia Supreme Court, after ruling the Cobb County judge improperly coerced him into taking a plea deal – at the threat of receiving football years.

Winfrey has always denied being the shooter of the bus, but cited that the internal rift led to the shooting. Well, Friday afternoon, the Cobb County District Attorney essentially re-opened the case, and is contemplating whether or not to charge Thugga and Birdman for the incident.

The DA believes Birdman and Young Thug may have put Winfrey up to commit act, but neither are being charged. On Thursday, the Court of Appeals remanded Winfrey’s case back to Cobb County, as new evidence emerged through court documents. It was revealed that he called Young Thug eight times in 12-minutes leading up to the shooting and even had a jailhouse phone call with Birdman.

In the conversation, obtained from investigators and reported by Atlanta’s WSB News – Bryan Williams is heard talking to Winfrey saying, “Time for you to come out here and get your money. You did everything you could do boss. It’s eye-opening. It’s strictly business, man.”
