Charlie Puth is on his way to becoming a music superstar. He’s already got a couple of platinum selling records under his belt that made a lot noise last year, and his current single “One Call Away” is climbing its way up the charts as the days go by. With his highly-anticipated debut studio album, Nine Track Mind, a little less then a week away, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter and producer is unloading his latest single with Selena Gomez to gain a little more buzz in the week leading up to the forthcoming effort.
“We Don’t Talk Anymore” is just a melodic and catchy as they come, and the self-produced song is probably one of the more anticipated collaborations to hear from Puth’s new album. Puth says the song came about during a conversation with a friend who had just broken up and tried to cheer him up by making a face and singing “we don’t talking anymore.”
From there, he thought the melody was cool and added a guitar beat fit right with it. Selena became a part of the song after he played it for her she started to sing the second verse and he instantly wanted Gomez to be on the song.
