Later this week, the Pharrell executive produced film DOPE is set to hit theaters nationwide. Today, the original motion picture soundtrack for the film, in which Pharrell also had the pleasure of putting together, has released and it features a gang of new tracks as well as some classic cuts. Providing the sounds for the project are the likes of Nas, Naughty by Nature, Gil Scott-Heron, Digital Underground, Public Enemy and A Tribe Called Quest. The new and original music for the soundtrack comes courtesy of Awreeoh, WatchTheDuck, Buddy, LOLAWOLF and Kap G.
DOPE, the Rick Famuyiwa directed film, starring Shameik Moore, Tony Revolori, Kiersey Clemons, Blake Anderson, Zoë Kravitz, A$AP Rocky, Tyga, Keith Stanfield, Casey Veggies, Vince Staples, Chanel Iman, Quincy Brown and Rick Fox, will hit theaters this Friday, June 19th.
