Drake Breaks the 10 Billion Stream Mark on Spotify

Even though Drake is associated with Apple Music more in the streaming wars, he’s still racking up massive amounts of plays elsewhere. His More Life project was released on all platforms and even before it hit the Internet, he was crushing Spotify records.

The platform revealed the fact that prior to More Life, Drizzy surpassed the 10 billion streams mark.

This comes following the success of his last album VIEWS, which got 1.5 billions thanks to “One Dance” alone. Other hits like “Hotline Bling,” “Too Good” and “Controlla” also reached over the 300K mark in streams, with the first racking up over 600 million. VIEWS on its own has been streamed over 2 billion times.

Expect these figures to exponentially increase thanks to More Life, which was premiered on OVO Sound radio and released to all streaming platforms shortly after.

The race to 20 billion now begins.

In related Drake and Spotify news, he beat Ed Sheeran for one day and full day streams, amassing a total of 76,355,041 in one day for More Life. That’s beast.
