Jason Derulo is gearing up for his fifth studio album, tentatively titled JD5. The campaign for the forthcoming effort kicked up with the massive single “Swalla” that features big name artists Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. The Caribbean-driven track, produced by Ricky Reed gets a colorful music video, directed by 305’s Gil Green, who has worked with Derulo many times in the past. Their latest connection is nothing less than extravagant and it fits the vibe of the song perfectly.
The candy colored and tasty video features Derulo getting down with his background dancers that accent the amazing footwork by Derulo himself throughout the clip. Ty Dolla $ign joins the party with a few baddies of his on by his side as he delivers his verse. Things get extra colorful and sweet when Nicki Minaj makes her cameo in the clip, where she’s sits center-stage in true Barbie fashion.
