Jessie Reyez jumped onto the radar last year with the impressive “Figures” and a video that brought out the sheer emotion even more. This week, the Toronto singer is starting 2017 off in style with the follow-up single “Shutter Island.”
Directed by Peter Huang, the new video starts with Jessie pouring out her emotions into the camera, before a flood of water comes in and things get pretty frightening. “Have you heard ‘Figures’? It’s about the same guy… but I was angrier this time,” Reyez tells Pigeons and Planes.
