Kendrick Lamar Opens the Grammys with U2 and Dave Chappelle

As expected, Kendrick Lamar kicked off the 2018 Grammy Awards in style with a crazy opening performance. For it, the Compton rapper performed a medley of “XXX.,” “DNA,” and “King’s Dead,” alongside soldiers stomping on stage and a woman banging a taiko drum.

Not only that, but he was joined by Bono and The Edge of U2, and, several segments from Dave Chappelle. “I just wanted to remind the audience that the only thing more frightening than watching a black man be honest in America, is being an honest black man in America,” Dave said. “Sorry for the interruption, please continue.”

The performed ended with gunshots and the dancers falling to the ground one by one.
