The veteran singer is due for a new full length project soon and that will happen sometime in the near future with her upcoming album Strength of a Woman. The first single Mary J. chose to release with the emotional record “Thick of It” co-written by Darhyl Camper Jr., Jazmine Sullivan, John Goodison and Phil Wainman.
Exactly a month after the song’s initial release, Mary J. Blige is back with an official set of visuals, directed by Dennis Leupold. It’s all gold everything in the ’90s inspired visual that sees Mary J. as vulnerable as she’s been while belting the lyrics to the song that touches on her divorce from her longtime husband Martin Isaacs.
