For those of you not in the known, Dadito Calderone aka Taxstone recently started a digital podcast for the streets entitled Tax Season. After a couple D’ussé Cognac drinks, Tax welcomed fellow Brooklyn representative Memphis Bleek to sit-down speak with him for nearly 90-minutes.

M-Extra opened up on being the youngest member in the original camp with Jay-Z, Clark Kent, Sauce Money, Jaz-O and Dame Dash – and taking his career serious once seeing how his fellow neighborhood comrades were living. Things immediately transitioned to the whereabouts of Amil, which was explained when she decided to not show up for a recording session of Hey Papi.”

This also segued into the Roc-a-Fella split, where he briefly touched on how Dame Dash brought in his uptown people to run the offices – something Jay wasn’t fond of at the time. He did clarify that there was no tension ever between himself and the Harlem Diplomats, stating they were like his brothers at one time; so the breakup was solely on Jay and Dame’s business differences.

Before things closed out, he broke down the meaning of The Dynasty, which started when Kanye West, Just Blaze and Young Guru all showed up to a studio session on the same day. Looking for a new engineer, Bleek used all super-producers to create the majority of his The Understanding project in one day. Soon after, Beans showed up later in the day to record four tracks on The Truth and this prompted Jigga to see what his team was working with.

After hearing a few beats from Blaze, Guru and Yeezy, he immediately started working on The Dynasty: Roc La Familia the same exact night. Listen to the entire interview above, where he explains his friendship with Just Blaze, studio sessions with Swizz Beatz and relationships with The Throne.
