With Swizz Beatz gearing up to release his Poison album, the legendary Bronx producer-mogul shared some eye-raising information this week. In a conversation with Pitchfork, Swizz reveled that he’s planning on releasing five albums, starting with the previously mentioned.
Opting to not spoil everything, Swizzy revealed that him and Nas have an entire album recorded. The Ruff Ryders said, “I did his album two years ago in one week in L.A. In the studio every day at 12 o’clock, just bang bang bang. Recorded the whole thing, got it all on film. It was an ill process.”
While it’s questionable that we’ll ever hear that effort, one of the tracks from their 2016 recording sessions in Los Angeles is expected to land on the Poison album later this year. Let us know in the comments if you’d want to Swizz and Escobar roll this effort out to streaming services.
