Federal authorities arrested R. Kelly on sex trafficking charges on Thursday night and took him into custody following an indictment from the grand jury.
According to the Associated Press and The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Kelly was arrested on 13 counts, including child porn, enticement of a minor, obstruction of justice and more. His arraignment date has not been set as of yet.
Robert pled not guilty to 11 counts just last month and continues to proclaim his innocence through his lawyer and through interviews.
The Pied Piper’s life has been under enormous scrutiny since Lifetime aired the controversial Surviving R. Kelly documentary, which escalated in his record label, Sony, dropping him from the roster, a #MuteRKelly campaign online and various other women coming forward claiming they were abused as well.
