We’re tired of freestyles at this point in the game. RAPPER, GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. FREESTYLES HURT YOU MORE THAN HELP YOU. If your whole game plan is to drop freestyles in hopes of staying relevant and in the eye of the Internet, then you got it all wrong playboy. You’re watering down your product. You’re not giving your fans the time to miss you. How could they ever listen to your last project and really sit with it?
Do people even listen to freestyles more than once anymore?
At the rate music drops these days, there’s no way to keep up with it all. Avid blog fans barely have the time to keep up with new artists like that (see: people have lives), so don’t make it worse and give them a reason to write you off because all they see from you is lazy ass freestyles. Seriously, do yourself the favor.
Maybe if you remixed the track, or picked RARE instrumentals that nobody has rocked. But hopping on the newest and hottest industry beat is pretty tired and over done.
