2016-17 UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw

championsleague

Less than 24 hours after the UEFA Champions League playoffs concluded with teams advancing to the group stage, the draw for each individual group went live. Last season, we saw two Spanish giants in the final (Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid) and this season promises to be another wild one.

The group stage is stacked this year, with a few of them being touted as the infamous “groups of death.”

Manchester City undoubtedly got the short end of the stick this season, with the Premier League squad drawing in Group C alongside Barcelona, Monchengladbach and Celtic. We all know how elite Barca is, but the Bundesliga squad is no pushover either.

Leicester City and Tottenham look like are in a good position to advance to the knockout stage, while Group H and Group F look like tough groups to be in. Check out the whole group draw below and let us know who your favorites are in the comments.

Action kicks off September 13-14. Champions League back!
