76ers Eliminate Heat from First Round of the Playoffs

One of the youngest teams in the league has completed The Process. Just a few seasons ago, the Philadelphia 76ers were finishing the season having won 10 games and now you fast forward and find them getting past the first round of the playoffs with a focused and determined squad, with people predicting them into the NBA Finals.

Playing with their backs to the wall, the Miami Heat came into Philly on #FreeMeekMill night with all of the pressure, experience and need to win the game.

They did not deliver.

The young Sixers squad (with a little help from their veterans) got the job done at home and sealed the series to advanced to the second round of the post season.

Joel Embiid finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds, Ben Simmons ended with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, but it was J.J. Redick‘s 27 points that carried Philadelphia on the night, making five 3-pointers when it was all said and done.

Philly will now take the winner of the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks series, with a few games to rest in between.

Could this have been Dwyane Wade’s last game in the league?

FINAL: PHI 104 | MIA 91
