AD with the big dunk
Anthony Davis is such a monster on the court that no matter where he’s playing, his teammates are setting him up for alley-oops. We don’t know the exact numbers, but he has to be averaging two or three a game at this point.
Hosting the Boston Celtics on Friday night, the New Orleans Pelicans started the game on this very wave. An alley-oop to AD that posterized Tyler Zeller and damn near ran him off the court. The play came in the 1st quarter with a little less than 10 minutes left. If that’s not a way to set the tone early, we don’t know what else will.
Unfortunately, the game got away from the Pelicans in the 4th quarter when newly acquired Isaiah Thomas came in for the Celtics, as he lit it up from 3-point range off the bench. He scored 14 of 27 points in the 4th, hitting three after three en route to the Boston win.
David ended the game with a double, 29 points and 14 rebounds, to go along with 3 blocks.
