Chris Paul Could Miss Up to 4 Weeks with Injured Knee

Not even a week into the beginning of the NBA season, the Houston Rockets might be without one of the cornerstone pieces of their season. Chris Paul has been diagnosed with a bruised left knee and he might miss up to four weeks while recovering from the injury.

CP3 sustained the knock during the preseason and held out of the Rockets preseason finale. He played in the season opener, but looked visibly in pain. Even injured, he managed to put up 4-points, 8-rebounds, and 11-assists in the performance, helping Houston get the win over the Golden State Warriors. He sat out the next game against the Sacramento Kings.

Paul will obviously not play in the Rockets home opener against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday and will be week-to-week, with two weeks being the minimum time he will be sidelined.

Eric Gordon will take Chris’ place in the starting lineup while he’s out.
