The Cleveland Cavaliers Land Kyle Korver in Trade

Hey Westside, SPLASH!

For whatever reason, the Atlanta Hawks have decided to give the Cleveland Cavaliers some extra depth from long-range, trading away Kyle Korver. Since losing J.R. Smith until March after hand surgery, the team has managed to maintain the best record in the Eastern Conference.

While a third-consecutive trip to the NBA Finals is likely set for LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and the Cavs, this move was done purely to combat the three-point shooting of the Golden State Warriors – for June. We’re expecting the veteran wing-player to quickly adapt to the style of play in Ohio, as the King will have another consistent option from deep leading up to the playoffs.

The Atlanta Hawks have won four consecutive games, and remain fifth in the Eastern Conference, but there has been rumors of the team also parting ways with Paul Milsap, who’s been linked to the Boston Celtics in recent weeks. It’s unlikely that the Cavs gave away a significant piece for Kyle, but we’ll keep you updating if anything changes outside of Mike Dunleavy Jr.
