DeMarcus Cousins Finally Wins A Game With the Pelicans

It only took five games for the New Orleans Pelicans to win a game with DeMarcus Cousins in the lineup. Coincidentally, the team won a game when he didn’t play, which is ironic, because when the Sacramento Kings traded their All-Star big man, people were clamoring how much devastation him and Anthony Davis would make on the Western Conference. While the two have been beasting individually, the Pels have continued losing games.

That is until Sunday night when they faced the Los Angeles Lakers.

Davis and Cousins combined for 57 points, with Jrue Holiday actually helping out as well, dropping 20 points and 12 assists in the first win with Boogie playing.

The Lakers currently sit with the second worst record in the entire NBA, so this isn’t by any means a shocker, but at least it shows the potential New Orleans can have when firing from all cylinders.

In the playoff picture, the Pelicans are 3 1/2 games back of the Denver Nuggets, who currently sit at the eighth seed in front of teams like the Portland Trail Blazers, Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Kings. That last spot is up for grabs, so every win is crucial.
