Joe Johnson Destroys Jusuf Nurkic’s Ankles & Drains Game-Winning Three

Joe Johnson Banks Home the Win!

Since waving Deron Williams last summer, the short-handed Brooklyn Nets have been looking towards the future. Having two of the top 11 paid player contracts in the entire league, as well as losing the former core of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, has them looking on the outside of the playoffs for the first time moving from New Jersey. Joe Johnson, who’s in the last year of his massive $123.7 million dollar contract has surprisingly been having his best season in about four years.

Whether or not this has to do with money shouldn’t be a question, as the aging veteran could be looking to land one final pay day. Monday night, his Nets were home for a game against the Denver Nuggets, as both struggling teams had possibly the best ending of all games on Monday.

From Joe completely obliterating the ankles of Jusuf Nurkic, he soon capped off the night with a game-winning three-pointer against the Nuggets, which wasn’t called glass – but the shot went in anyway. Take a look at the Barclay’s Center in all smiles for a rare occasion this season.
