Josh Jackson Gets Rejected by Rim at NBA Summer League

For a few weeks, Josh Jackson was in contention for being the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. There were some teams who coveted him as so and were even trying to move up the draft to take him. Ultimately, he dropped to No. 4 and went to the Phoenix Suns.

So how is he doing out here? Well, in last night’s Summer League action against Dennis Smith Jr. and the Dallas Mavericks, just okay. Yeah, he had 15 points and 9 rebounds, but he got showed out by Smith Jr., who had 25 points and 8 rebounds himself. The highlight of the game for Jackson was actually a fail, when he went up for a dunk untouched and got rejected by the rim.

In no way are we saying he won’t thrive with the Suns. He might actually develop to be an All-Star with Devin Booker, though you have to admit, this is second fail in less than a month.

But once again, it’s only Summer League.
